TOOLKIT’s purpose is to make better mental health and fitness accessible to everybody in the world.
Our mission emerges from the simple understanding that mental health works like physical fitness. Just like with physical fitness, everybody has varying degrees of mental fitness affected by their history, environment, biology, socioeconomic status, and personal choices. Wherever we’re at, we can get proactive with building mental health and fitness skills. If we don’t, we can’t be surprised that we run into challenges. If you don’t learn how to swim, it’s not strange if you struggle in the water. But we don’t label you as having a Drowning Disorder. TOOLKIT is like swimming lessons, for your brain.
We can learn how to interact with the stuff in our heads differently. We can experience difficult emotions while doing the the things we care about in life. We can cut out the compulsions eating up all of our time and energy. We can build resilience and psychological flexibility to handle an uncertain, changing world. We can love. We can be sad. We can create.n
